These magnets honor some of the great things about Knoxville. The Knoxville Zoo has the largest number of captive red panda births in the Western Hemisphere. The Sunsphere was built for the 1982 World's Fair. It still stands and remains a symbol for the city of Knoxville. It was also during this time that Knoxville got it's nickname, The Scruffy City, after a journalist wrote an article suggesting this "scruffy little city" couldn't handle such a large event. Just outside of Knoxville is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which is the most-visited national park in the United States.
